Vietnam Govt to Guarantee Foreign Loans for VALC’s Aircraft Purchases
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung March 11 agreed that the Government will guarantee for the Vietnam Aircraft Leasing Company (VALC)’s project to buy aircraft, the Government of Vietnam reported.
The PM asked the Finance Ministry to cooperate with investors to complete and appraise the project.
The VALC was established by Vietnam Airlines, The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), and the PetroVietnam with total investment of nearly US$200 million.
The company signed contracts totaling US$1.42 billion to buy 8 B78708 Dreamliners from Boeing Company. The first aircraft will be delivered in 2016. (chinhphu.vn)
