Vietnam holds the 113th in the world in terms of business environment in 2009, maintaining the last year’s position, according to a recently-released survey by the U.S.’s Forbes Magazine.

The survey covering 127 territories and countries indicated that Vietnam stands at the bottom among Asian countries surveyed.

Vietnam’s business policies rank the 110th, salary and price polices at the 116th and the tax policies at the 96th.

Singapore took the lead in the Asian region, followed by Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.

This is the second time Denmark has topped the list, followed by the U.S., Canada, and New Zealand.

Experts said many countries have seen drop in the ranking due to impacts by the global economic slowdown.
