Kobe & Sojitz Plan to Invest US$300 Mln in Making Balled Iron in Vietnam

Japan’s Kobe and Sojitz are planning to set up a joint venture with total investment of US$300 million to produce balled iron under ITmk3 technology in Vietnam.  
 
If approved, the joint venture will has legal capital of US$1 million in the initial phase in order to conduct survey on iron ore mines.
 
Increasing capital will be executed stage by stage.
 
ITmk3 will help manufacture balled iron from low-quality iron ore and anthracite coal. 
 
Japan’s Daido Steel Company will also participate in the project in the role of a consumer of balled iron. (Investment)
