Contractors Ink US$140.23 Mln Deal to Build Hydropower Plant in Central Vietnam

Contractors of Song Tranh 2 hydropower project have recently clinched deals worth VND2.37 trillion (US$140.23 million) to build a hydropower plant in central Quang Nam province.
 
The 190-MW plant will be built in local Tra Doc commune, Bac Tra My district at a total cost of VND5.19 trillion (US$307.1 million).
 
The plant, which is invested by the state-run Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN) is scheduled for operation in late 2010.
 
EVN has made debut the Thu Bon Hydropower Joint Stock Company with a registered capital at VND1.95 trillion (US$121.87 million) will carry out the project. (Young People)
