The Vietnam Urban and Industrial Zone Investment and Development Corp (IDICO) recently started construction on Phu My Industrial Park II in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province's Tan Thanh district. The Phu My Industrial Park II covers 1,023 hectares with total cost of VND3,250 billion.
The industrial park is aimed to create a modern and synchronous environment to attract more domestic and international investors. IDICO has completed all of the necessary investment procedures for infrastructure construction and has started the construction of infrastructure facilities.
To date, the industrial park has housed four big projects. They include a US$1.128 billion hot steel laminating project and a US$500 million specialised steel project, managed by the Posco Group from South Korea, a US$180 million steel ingot project invested by the Taiwanese FUCO Steel Company and a US$30 million construction materials production project developed by Hoa Sen Group.
