One Fourth of Firms in Vietnam at Closure Risks: Survey

Up to 25 per cent of Vietnamese firms said that they are concerned about liquidation risks, according to a survey covering 864 local enterprises.
 
The survey, jointly conducted by the Ministry of Industry’s Trade Promotion Department and the Vietnam Economic Times, indicated that 9 per cent of the interviewed companies would halt their business and production activities for a long time.
 
Meanwhile, 31 per cent disclosed that they are facing lots of difficulties but hope to overcome. Only 15 per cent believed that they would be better than last year.
 
The survey’s businesses operate in various areas including finance, banking, insurance, food, real estate and medicine with 68 per cent of them being joint stock firms. (Pioneer)
