Vietnam's 1st Wholly Foreign Invested Aircraft Part Plant to Debut this June
The Mitsubishi group will open its first aircraft part making plant in Vietnam this June, according to Kevin R.Heise, sale manage of Boeing in Asian-Pacific region.
R.Heise said the MHI Aerospace Vietnam Co. Ltd (MHIVA), will cover 19,000 square meters in Thang Long Industrial Zone, Hanoi city, and specialize in making aircraft wings for Boeing’s aircrafts.
The plant has total investment of US$7 million. It will initially operate with 50 staff. From 2009 to 2010, the MHIVA will fit wings for 2-8 Boeing 737 aircrafts monthly. (Vietnam Economic Times2)
