PetroVietnam Posts Service Revenues of US$847.06M in Q1

The state-run oil monopoly PetroVietnam group said that it had made service revenues of VND14.4 trillion (US$847.06 million) in the first quarter, representing 83 per cent of the quarter’s target and 21 per cent of the year’s target, on a gross revenue of VND53.8 trillion (US$3.06 billion), a source from the group said.
 
In the period, PetroVietnam ran 2-D seismic vessel on trial base from February 5 to 9, as well as launched the floating storage and offloading unit FSO-5.
 
The group also accelerated preparation to start operation of some service development projects including crude oil tanker building, Sao Mai-Ben Dinh general cargo port, and Phuoc An-Dong Nai oil and gas service port. 
 
PeroVietnam needs up to VND185 trillion (US$9.34 billion) to carry out projects on various fields in the 2009-2011 period, said CEO Dinh La Thang. (www.pvn.vn)
