PetroVietnam Taps 10.73M Tons of Oil Equivalent in Jan-May, Up 16.8 per cent

The state-owned oil monopoly PetroVietnam group produced a total of 10.73 million tons of oil equivalent in the first five months this year, up 16.8 per cent.
 
The group produced 7.3 million tons of crude oil in the January-May, up 19 per cent.
 
It tapped 3.43 billion cubic meters of natural gas but supplied 3.36 billion cubic meters of dry gas in the five-month period, up 17 per cent on year, which represented 48 per cent of the full-year target.
 
The group exported 7.02 million tons of crude oil valued at US$2.57 billion between January and May, up 6 per cent on year in volume.

This year, PetroVietnam has targeted to produce 24 million tons of oil equivalents from 16 million tons of crude oil and condensate and 8 billion cubic meters of natural gas, and raise its oil equivalent reserve to between 35 million and 40 million tons.

The group has planned to export 11.68 million tons of crude oil and condensate and 10 billion kWh of power in 2009. (Capital Security)
