The Netherlands based company Peja (S.E.A) B.V is one of the first foreign investors that established its representative office in Vietnam. Since its inception (1992), Peja Vietnam has successfully completed many projects, some of them financed with ODA from the Netherlands’ Government including a project for state of the art textile finishing machinery and a turnkey waste water treatment plant supplied in 2004. Other projects have been successfully completed in close cooperation with local contractors.

“Although this success can be measured in different areas, I just want to focus on 4 areas which Peja’s technology can be of interest for Vietnam: agriculture, food processing, textile, and maritime”, said by Doan Nam, Chief Representative of Peja Vietnam.

The outstanding point of Dutch machinery and equipment manufacturers is often matched by state of the art technology as well as services that provide technical solutions. Peja Vietnam is proud of being a representative of a considerable number of Dutch and international manufacturers. In the field of agriculture, Peja Vietnam is representing a variety of mainly Dutch companies such as Moba, Pas Reform, Stork Food Systems and Van Aarsen International and VDL Agrotech.

In maritime industry – one of the key economic sectors of Vietnam - Peja together with Damen Shipyard Group specializes in building vessels in local shipyards. One of the very first projects is the building of Search and Rescue Vessels (SAR project) for a Vietnamese customer executed with ODA from the Netherlands. Nowadays, together with their local partner shipyards as Song Cam shipyard (Hai Phong) and Song Thu Shipyard (Danang) Peja Vietnam supplies and builds other professional vessels like tug boats, salvage tugs, oil recovery vessels, buoy laying vessels, fishing vessels, etc. These both for the local market as well as for export. The success of Peja Vietnam in the maritime industry is not only due to its equipment supply, but on transferring modern shipbuilding techniques to their Vietnamese partners. Peja Vietnam is planning to expand its maritime activities in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

“Our experience in Vietnam is that it requires and extra effort to make Vietnamese products competitive in foreign markets. What Peja is doing in this respect is that we are trying to help increase the value added factor of Vietnamese export products by transferring our advanced technology, services and technical solutions”, added Doan Nam.

In addition, Peja is also elaborating its activities towards the health care sector in Vietnam – this sector also needs huge attention and investments to improve its quality and services. Mr. Doan Nam shared: “Besides 4 key sectors of Peja working for over 15 years, our target in the coming time is to focus on providing integrated health care systems and high quality medical equipment to Vietnam”.
