Chevron, MOECO, PTTEP Grant Scholarships in Mekong Delta

On 18 August, a Chevron led consortium consisting of Chevron Vietnam Ltd, Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd. (MOECO), and PTT Exploration and Production Company Plc (PTTEP) granted scholarships to 235 schoolchildren in Can Tho Municipality, in partnership with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC). 

 

The initiative is part of a larger Chevron led program to provide scholarships to more than 700 children in Ca Mau, Kien Giang, and Can Tho. The total value of the Partners’ donation to the NFVC this year is over VND900 million.  

Speaking at the event, Chevron Vietnam President Hank Tomlinson said: “Chevron and our partners MOECO and PTTEP are committed to building partnerships with the Government, the community, and with NGOs like the NFVC in Vietnam. The partnerships support our strategy to develop energy that contributes to economic and social progress, as well as to assist the company to achieve its business goals. Our goal for this sponsorship is to build a better future for the local communities by expanding the access to education for children in the Mekong Delta.”
