Particularly, the school’s students are guided computer skills, and information and technology application in clerical work and professions. In addition, the school also pays attention to training foreign languages for students.

During the past time, in order to meet the demand of high-quality human forces for the country, the school has strived to raise its training quality through defining short-term training courses as a foundation to support long-term courses. In contrary, long-term courses will help the school orient and diversify short-term courses. In parallel, the school actively varies its forms of training as well as building effective curriculum and often improving teaching methods. Also, the school managing board often attends classes as observers to assess teachers’ professional level, creating a driving force for and raising the quality of the teaching and learning.

One of the strong points of the South Saigon Technical and Professional Training School is the establishment of post-graduate clubs where gather the school’s teachers and post-graduates to cooperate with the school managing board in outlining policies to treat talents, attract brains and initiate new training programs. Thanks to great efforts of the school’s teachers and students, the South Saigon Technical and Professional Training School has succeeded in combining scientific research and training, gradually socializing training activities and raising the school’s reputation.

In addition, the school has actively associated with other schools such as the Hanoi National University of Education II, the Nha Trang University to organize in-service training courses in fields of information and technology (IT), and accounting and auditing. The school also joins hand with the Binh Duong job introduction center, the Binh Phuoc job introduction center, Binh Duong province’s job introduction center for women, and the Dong Nai job introduction center. The city’s department of labor, invalids and social affairs has given a nod to the school to set up the South Saigon job introduction center in order to create favorable conditions for the school to promote the model of training combined with job creation, by doing that, the school will help its students actively choose suitable careers after graduating.

Currently, the South Saigon Technical and Professional Training School is striving its utmost to be soon upgraded to the South Saigon Technology College in order to expand its scale in the future. The school is also improving its facilities as well as raising the quality of teachers. It targets to have 5 per cent of lecturers being PhDs and 50 per cent lecturers having MA degrees by 2020.
