Vina Korea Co., Ltd: Trademark of Sustainable Development

Vina Korea Co., Ltd is the first to locate in Khai Quang Industrial Park in Vinh Phuc province. After seven years of construction and development, the company has become a leading garment exporting trademark in Vietnam. In 2008, the firm made revenues of US$14,100,000 and employed more than 4,600 workers.                        
                   
Following brief introductions from authorities of Vinh Phuc province, we paid a working visit to outstanding Vina Korea Co., Ltd in the summer of 2009. Mr. Jay Lee, CEO of the company, received us. After Korea-styled polite handshaking and greeting, he gladly told us the history of an exemplary Korean business in Vietnam. He said the road to the success of Vina Korea is built on endless efforts, activeness, innovation and consensus of all staff and managers. And above all is the friendship between the two peoples and the two nations. The today road is widening to add more strength for Vina Korea to advance in the integration period of the Vietnamese economy.

A newcomer in the garment industry faces many difficulties and risks. But for Vina Korea, the road to success on the market is built on its materials, designs, styles, quality and creativity on each product. Thus, Vina Korea-trademarked apparels quickly took a strong foothold on global markets. In other words, Vina Korea has been accepted on quality in the tough markets. This is evidenced by admirably growing sales in the past seven years. In 2002, the company had some 1,000 workers and made revenues of US$2 million but it employed up to 4,600 workers and gained revenues of US$14.1millionin 2008. In 2009, Vina Korea expected to earn US$16 million although global financial crisis has afflicted most enterprises.
