Dak Uy Coffee Company with Sustainable Development
Mr Vu Thanh Huyen, Director of Dak Uy Coffee Company, said the year 2009 is the fourth in a row his company has implemented the Decision No. 2804 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on restructuring State-owned enterprises. The company’s organisational structure was approved by competent authorities. Land, labour and finance plans have gradually approved by the State to facilitate the company clarify its financial situations.
In 2008, the company has more favourable conditions to take care of coffee plantations to boost productivity and product quality. Thus, the company’s average personal income reached VND5 million per person per month.
Apart from business activities, the company also pays attentions to charity and thanksgiving activities. Last year, the firm paid regular visits to wounded soldiers and martyrs’ families and families with contributions to the national liberation. On the occasion of the Wounded Soldier and Martyr Day and the Traditional New Year, the company presented gifts worth VND5.99 million, raised over VND50 million for charity funds, contributed VND5 million for building armed force traditional house of Kon Tum province, aided helmets worth VND10 million to people in Dak Ha district, donated VND6 million to study encouragement funds in Ha Mon commune, contributed VND8 million to build cultural house in Ha Mon commune and pledged to take whole life care of a seriously wounded soldier.
Mr Huyen said from now to 2010 the company will continue with its equitisation plan to boost operating efficiency. Especially, the company needs to make new changes to secure sustainable development.
