Vietnam Imports US$304M Milk Products in Jan-Aug, Down 15.9%
Vietnam spent US$304 million importing milk and milk products in the first eight months of 2009, down 15.9% against the same period last year, the Government’s General Statistics Office (GSO) reported.
In August, the country imported US$35 million of milk and diary products, down 13.1% compared to the previous month.
Domestic milk and diary product output was 4,500 tons in August, up 18.4% from July. (Vietnam Agriculture)
