Vietnam Hoa Phat Group Exports First Steel Pipe Batch to U.S.
Hoa Phat Group (HPG), one of the largest heavy industry groups in Vietnam, exported 200 tons of steel pipes worth US$300,000 to the U.S. in August.
This was the first time the group has exported steel pipes to the U.S. market to date.
Hoa Phat will ship other batches of steel pipes to Europe and North America in the rest months of this year, said Hoang Duc Thuan, vice general director.
At present, Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Company holds 40% and 18% of market share of zinc-plated steel pipes and black steel pipes in Vietnam, respectively. (CafeF)
