Vietnam Jan-Sept Exports to China Down 9.43% to US$2.76B

Vietnam’s exports to China fell 9.43% to US$2.76 billion in the first eight months of this year, including US$384.17 million in August.
 
Coal was the country’s biggest cash earner with 12.97 million tons worth US$565.74 million, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
 
It was followed by rubber with 284,986 tons worth US$420.39 million, cassava and its products with 2.38 million tons costing US$384.7 million and crude oil with 586,234 tons worth US$220.93 million during the period, the ministry said without giving on-year comparisons.
 
Vietnam is projected to reap US$5 billion from exporting goods to China in 2009, up 10.229% on-year, and import US$16.5 billion from the neighbor, up 6.04% on-year. (Vinanet)
