Vietnam Bag, Suitcase, Umbrella Exports Jump 17.2% to US$69M in Jan

Vietnam earned US$69 million from exporting bags, suitcases, hats and umbrellas in Jan, up 17.2% from a year earlier, but down 7.3% from a month earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said on its website Monday.

Export turnover of these goods accounted for 1.4% of the country’s total value of exports in Jan.

The markets taking lead in value were the U.S. with US$21 million up 48.4% on-year, Japan US$9 million up 42.7% on-year, Germany US$5.9 million, down 3% on year.
