Hanoi Seeks PM’s Approval for Foreign Loans to Develop Major Projects
The Hanoi city authority is seeking the prime minister’s approval for getting loans from foreign financial organizations to develop its major projects.
The projects include Metro route No.3 worth US$900 million, a US$200-million waste treatment plant and upgrade of Day, Tich, To Lich and Nhue rivers, the Communist Party of Vietnam said on its website.
The city expects to receive the PM’s permission for implementing a number of projects under the forms of building-transfer (BT), building-operations-transfer (BOT) and public-private partnership (PPP).
Hanoi is planning to boost its infrastructure by implementing 114 projects, including 62 scheduled to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
Hanoi targets to mobilize VND170 trillion (US$8.9 billion) for development investment this year. (CPV)
