Czech Firms Eye US$1.44B Expressway Project in Vietnam
Czech companies, led by PSJ Company, are seeking government permission to build a US$1.44 billion expressway in Vietnam under the forms of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) or Building-Operation and Transfer (BOT).
The Czech ambassador has asked the government of Vietnam to allow foreign firms to join the project to build the 121-kilometer expressway to link Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces.
Vietnam Cement Group, the project’s investor, plans to kick-start construction of the expressway in 2011.
Czech provided US$420 million for Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Finance Investment Joint Stock Company (VIDIFI) to build Hanoi-Haiphong expressway. (Investment)
