Vietnam to Invest VND8T to Build 211 Fish Ports by 2020

Vietnam will invest VND8 trillion (US$421 million) to build 211 fish ports in 28 coastal provinces from now to 2020.
 
The Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the plan under which the ports will be capable of receiving around 2.36 million tons of raw fish yearly.
 
In the first phase from 2009 to 2012, the coastal provinces will build 1-graded fish ports and storm shelters with an investment of VND2.303 trillion.
 
In the second phase of 2013-2015, the provinces will upgrade key ports into international ones with an investment of VND1.771 trillion.
 
The provinces will use the remaining of VND1.771 trillion for other works in the 2016-2020 period. (Vietnam Agriculture)
