Hanoi Estimated to Have Budget Surplus of VND33.282T in H1

Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi is estimated to have reported a budget surplus of VND33.28 trillion in the first half of 2010.
 
The municipal budget revenues and spending were VND46.782 trillion and VND13.5 trillion, fulfilling 53% and 40% of the whole-year targets, respectively.
 
As many as VND41 trillion of the revenues were sourced domestically while import and export tariffs and fees were VND4.8 trillion.
 
Of the spending, Hanoi’s investments for development projects accounted for VND6 trillion, including VND1 trillion for major works to celebrate the 1,000th Thang Long-Hanoi anniversary. (VOV)
