Vietnam’s state budget revenues totaled VND478.57 trillion (US$24.5 billion) in the first 11 months of this year, surpassing by 3.7% of its full-year estimate and rising 22.6% from a year earlier, the Ministry of Finance said.

The budget revenues were VND44.12 trillion in November, the ministry said in a report, adding that almost all cities and provinces have posted strong increases in state budget revenues.

Bac Giang, Nghe An, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, Hau Giang, and Ha Giang provinces are among 32 localities which have already completed full-year plans on state budget revenues.

The ministry, however, did not give figures on the country’s total state budget expenditures in the first 11 months.

Between January and November, the State Treasury put a check on spending of VND347.435 trillion, and of which it refused to disburse VND302 billion. The treasury uncovered 40,133 inappropriate expenditures in 16,110 state agencies in the period.

The ministry disbursed about VND2 trillion (US$95.2 million) and 76,363 tons of rice to support storm-and-flood stricken central region in the 11 months.

The ministry said in a separate report that Vietnam’s state budget deficit rose to VND47.325 trillion in the first nine months, equal to 3.47% of the gross domestic product versus the National Assembly’s full-year estimate of 6.2%. (MoF)
