Production Value of Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical to Reach VND3,100 Bln in 2015

The production value of electrical, electronic and electromechanical sector is expected to reach VND3,100 billion (US$1.5 billion) in 2015 and VND8,200 billion in 2025 and export value will climb to US$18-20 million and US$60-65 million, according to the electrical, electronic and electromechanical development plan for the stage to 2015 and vision to 2025 approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on January 24, 2011.

 

Main products include high-tech machine tools, constructing and transporting equipment, electromechanical equipment for processing agricultural products, electronic consumer goods, electromechanical medical equipment, and electronic security and defence equipment.

 

The decision also encloses a list of prioritised investment projects for coming years, including two high-tech manufacturing and assembling factories (investment capital of US$43 million), high-tech controller manufacturing and assembling factory (US$15 million), crane manufacturing and assembling factory (US$27 million), medical imaging diagnostic equipment manufacturing and assembling factory (US$21.6 million).
