PM Encourages Investment in Developing Radiation Applications

The Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the detailed radiation application development plan for industry and economic - technical branches until 2020 to promote the development of traditional radiation applications, boost the competitiveness of Vietnamese radiation application enterprises, and lay the foundation for developing a high radiation industry with four major fields of application, namely non-destructive testing (NDT), nuclear control system (NCS), industrial radiation, and marking techniques (using radioactive isotopes).

 

The Government encourages all economic sectors to develop markets, diversify investments for research, and transfer technologies; focuses on testing and calibrating equipment; researches, designs and manufactures local products and masters technology; studies radioactive source production, builds radioactive source loading facilities; builds equipment maintaining and repairing facilities.
