Hi-tech Industry to Make up 45 Pct of GDP by 2020

The hi-tech industry will account for 35 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) by 2010 and 45 percent by 2020, according to the hi-tech industry development plan recently endorsed by the Prime Minister.

 

The plan puts forth four groups of measures to realise the above objectives: Production development; Hi-tech business development; supporting industry development; and human resources training. In 2012, the country will complete the planning for high-tech supporting industry development to lay the ground and direction for investment, market development and product development.
