Road-show on Waste & Energy Management Organised

The Road-show under the theme “Waste 2 Energy – From Visions to Business Opportunities” organised on 13 June 2011, aimed to seek potential partnerships in the area of waste management. There were companies presenting their solutions on waste management.

 

The delegation from Sweden visited some selected cities and provinces of Vietnam, including Da Nang, Hoi An, Quy Nhon, HCM City and Ba Ria-Vung Tau. At each location, they organised a workshop and directly met local interested entrepreneurs and investors who engage in the waste and energy sectors.

 

The Government of Sweden had through long-term political and financial commitment for promoting innovations and new technology, functional legal frameworks, paved way for the positive image of a sustainable Sweden today. Sweden’s economy has grown, while it has reduced its carbon emissions, showing that it is possible to combine economic growth and environmental sustainability.

 

The Road-show is also another concrete action from both sides to further deepen the relations between Sweden and Vietnam, especially in the area of trade and investment.
