First Private Cardiovascular Hospital Opens in Northern Vietnam

Dong Do Heart Hospital will open in October 2011, becoming the first private-run cardiovascular hospital in northern Vietnam.
 
The hospital is expected to ease overloading in State-owned hospitals and bring best medical services for patients.
 
Ms Do Thi Thuy Kieu, Chairwoman and General Director of Dong Do Heart Hospital, said: “With the motto ‘all for a good heart,’ we have striven to build an optimal operating strategy. Dong Do Heart Hospital has the most modern equipment, which is comparable to the best of its kind in the world. The most important aspect is service quality, a strong force of senior internationally recognised cardiologists to provide best services for patients.”
 
Located at 9A-9B Phan Chu Trinh Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi on a total area of 7,500 square metres, Dong Do Heart Hospital is divided into separate functional zones: Medical check zone, testing zone, surgery zone, vascular intervention zone, inpatient zone and international zone. The hospital can perform all heart surgeries for congenital heart disease, heart valve adjustment, coronary artery bypass graft, vascular operation, and other chest surgeries.
