Vicem Ha Tien is the flagship of Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem). Since its establishment, the company has provided over 50 million tonnes of high quality cement for civil and industrial construction. The company’s products have been used for key national projects like Tri An, Thac Mo, Srok Phu Mieng, Dong Nai 3 and Dong Nai 4 hydropower plants and the working office of the Can Tho City People's Committee. In addition to introducing high quality cement for the market, Vicem Ha Tien has constantly expanded its production and business network to enhance competitiveness. At present, Ha Tien Vicem holds the unique competitive advantage: A wide network of factories, including Binh Phuoc plant, Kien Luong plant, Thu Duc grinding station, Long An grinding station, Cam Ranh grinding station, etc. The broad production system will help the company reduce significant transport costs which accounts for 8 - 15 percent of production costs to lower selling prices. To expand the scope and operating area to enhance competitive strength, Vicem Ha Tien invested VND604 billion in Long An province and started construction on that plant in 2007. At the end of 2008, the Long An province-based cement plant launched the first product onto the market. From this important milestone, Vicem Ha Tien continuously provides high-quality cement, primarily PCB 40, for Long An and south-eastern and south-western provinces. Especially, the company has sulphate durable cement - an ideal material for construction in alkaline and pH-changing environment. Sales and Marketing Director of Vicem Ha Tien said in addition to supplying high-quality and widely applied cement, Vicem Ha Tien also provides technical support services and consultancies on products for customers. It also launches sales promotions programmes to thank for the trust of customers.

According to its business plan for the 2012-2015 period, Vicem Ha Tien Joint Stock Company will invest to expand clinker production lines in Binh Phuoc plant with a daily capacity of 2,000 tonnes to add clinker production output by 3.8 million tonnes a year. Together with the grinding station in Cam Ranh, the company can produce more than 8 million tonnes of cement a year. This position enables Vicem Ha Tien to implement business strategies that Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) assigns: Leading and regulating the cement market from Quang Ngai province to Ca Mau province where more than 43 million people are living. This is a very dynamic economic area but the competition is very tough here due to the presence of many cement companies.
