Speaking about ongoing projects in 2011, Mr Le Quang Thang, President and General Director of Viet Long Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company, said: "Viet Long is carrying out four major projects. These will have very strong impacts on social, economic and cultural development in the province and generate many jobs for local people.”
Central Yen Thanh New Urban Zone in Yen Thanh Ward, Uong Bi City, Quang Ninh Province covers an area of 18 ha and costs VND150 billion. When the project is completed, it will provide houses for people in Uong Bi. Lung Xanh Ecological Tourist Site, which covers an area of 990 ha, is created to attract more tourists to Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourist complex.
The solid waste treatment and recycling plant, located in Bac Son Ward, Uong Bi City, Quang Ninh Province with a daily capacity of 200 tonnes, costs VND150 billion. In 2011 when the project is completed, it will improve waste treatment in western Quang Ninh province.
The construction stone production project, located on a site with reserve of more than 10 million cubic metres, will provide construction stone for projects in the east of Quang Ninh province from now to 2020.

In addition, Mr Le Quang Thang, President and General Director of Viet Long Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company, was honourably conferred the Vietnam Gold Entrepreneur Award in 2009 by the Vietnam Small and Medium Enterprise Association and Typical Entrepreneur Title at the Ly Dynasty Reporting Ceremony on the occasion of 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi.
