PTSC Launches Geophysical Survey Company

PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) hosted a ceremony to launch the PTSC - CGGV Geophysical Survey Company and signed a 3D seismic acquisition service with PVEP Overseas.

 

PTSC - CGGV Geophysical Survey Company was a joint venture between PTSC and CGG Veritas Services Holding B.V of the Netherlands (CGGV). PTSC keeps 51 percent of the stake (US$28,668 million) and CGGV holds 49 percent (US$27,543,765). It aims to supply offshore two-dimensional (2D) and three dimensional (3D) seismic data acquisition service in and out of the Vietnamese territory. The company is now running 3D Amadeus seismic ship and 2D Binh Minh 02 seismic ship.

 

On the occasion, PTSC - CGGV signed a US$11 million or so contract on 3D seismic acquisition service with PVEP Overseas, an affiliate of the PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP). Accordingly, the company will provide 3D seismic acquisition services for its customers on M2 block offshore Myanmar in two months.
