Although the owner of a well-reputed steel casting enterprise in Y Yen District and an investor in five tile manufacturing factories in Tan Xuyen (Tan Dinh Commune, Lang Giang District, Bac Giang Province), Director Nguyen Van Tuyen is deeply concerned about Thanh Vinh JSC. Thanh Vinh’s success is attributed to his hard work and tireless endeavours. His simple wish is to maintain stable income for his employees.
Difficult start
Thanh Vinh JSC was established in 2007, which coincides with the financial crisis and banks’ loan freezing. At that time, the company had to manage on its own. Thanks to tireless efforts, the factory was completed and put into operation by the end of 2008. Such hard days were expected to end, however, production stagnated. The factory was even on the edge of bankruptcy. Facing this challenge, Tuyen stepped forward to buy all the contribution of other clients and managed the factory.
In July 2010, Tuyen officially took the Director position. Waiting for him was a downgraded project with lots of debt. With experience gained in business, he realized that the factory’s ineffective operation was mainly due to poor management, so he restructured. Key positions in the enterprise were rearranged. Most impressively, Tuyen recruited a team of capable supervisors and applied a reward – punishment mechanism. In terms of workers, he provided training and arranged appropriate jobs for them.
He shares that he believes humans play the decisive role in production, mastering equipment and raising its designed capacity. The company, therefore, always pays good attention to salary, bonus and benefits in order to ensure good life for its employees. This can be regarded as the secret for Thanh Vinh’s maintenance of stable growth. In 2011, the company reached a turnover of over VND 20 billion and its average wage ranged between VND3.5 and 10 million per month.
Quality creates brand name
With a view to providing the market with quality products, Thanh Vinh is evaluated to be a leading construction material manufacturer in terms of product quality and models.
To have products of good quality and stability, in addition to efforts to overcome difficulties caused by material supplying areas, the company takes an interest in investing in production lines. It implements annual plans for market expansion and customer care.
Furthermore, Thanh Vinh always makes efforts in meeting customers’ demand for product quality and design. It is going to apply ISO standards and hi-tech to its production.
It can be affirmed that up to now, Thanh Vinh has completely turned a new leaf, being able to sustain growth even in the context of economic difficulties. It successfully generates jobs and stable incomes for more than 200 labourers per annum. The biggest difficulty for the company is not having material supplying areas. It annually uses between 40,000 and 50,000 m3 of materials which have to be purchased from neighbouring provinces. This causes a great pressure in terms of cost and highly affects product quality.
To stabilize material sources is the earnest wish of all the company. Thanh Vinh longs for attention of all levels in the province to provide material sources so that it can maintain stable production and effective development in the long term.
