The Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) and the South Korea Information and Internet Security Agency (KISA) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in a bid to deepen cooperation between the two countries in the sector of information technology and communications.

The MoU covers cooperation in four aspects: Consulting each other on the development orientation of IT services; bolstering cooperation relationship between Vietnamese and South Korean IT enterprises; training IT labour forces, especially info security specialists; and jointly organising seminars and forums on IT development orientations to exchange expertise and experience.

Mr Suh Jong Ryeol, President of KISA, said: “We hope that this will make the first step to further boost cooperation development between Vietnam and South Korea in the IT sector in general and in information and Internet security in particular. Internet security has emerged as the one of the biggest concerns for governments after a series of hacker attacks recently. Besides, the MoU will enable IT companies of the two countries to penetrate into each other’s markets. In the coming time, KISA will make every effort to support the cooperation relationship between South Korean IT enterprises and their Vietnamese peers.
