ACCA Vietnam Celebrates 10th Anniversary
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the global body for professional accountants, recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of ACCA Vietnam in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Congratulating at the anniversary, Minister of Finance Vuong Dinh Hue confirmed ACCA’s significant contribution to the profession, and expressed appreciation for the Association’s effective cooperation with the Ministry, State Audit of Vietnam to develop and complete the legal framework and professional standards required for the country.
Helen Brand, Chief Executive of ACCA, said: "ACCA believes that the past 10-year journey has been a successful one that could only have been achieved by working in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, employers and training providers. In the future, we trust that the cooperation between ACCA and our partners will grow further and we will work together to develop a high quality accountancy profession which contributes to the economic success of Vietnam.”
On this special occasion, ACCA welcomed 79 new members and awarded 108 students who completed their ACCA qualifications in 2011.
