Doctors and nurses at Ea Sup General Hospital have upheld the spirit of wholehearted service, enthusiastic attitudes and professional ethical standards to patients and their relatives. They always have encouraging words and advice to patients treated at the hospital. The hospital has become a reliable address for local people.
In the past time, Ea Sup General Hospital has continuously improved its service quality in order to provide better enjoyment for patients. It frequently upgrades modern facilities to take better care of patients. It always takes the outcome of medical examination and treatment as the gauge of work.

Sparing no effort to improve the medical service quality, the hospital served 28,413 patients in the fourth quarter of 2010 and three first quarters of 2011, including 5,089 inpatients. The bed occupancy rate was 93 percent. Doctors and nurses know how to use modern equipment to the highest utility, especially state-of-the-art apparatuses like ultrasound machine, x-ray machine and electrocardiograph, to serve patients. This is an encouraging result of Ea Sup General Hospital as it expresses the spirit and morale of physicians to patients and to the public health. Speaking of the hospital’s prideful results, Director Bui Tho Quynh said: “This result is accrued from efforts of all the staff. All patients who have their health examined and disease remedied are carefully tended and visited by doctors and nurses timely. The service quality is increasingly raised. Fortunately, no case of mistaken treatment happens here thus far.”

In addition to investing in equipment modernisation, the hospital also pays attention to training and fostering professional knowledge and skills of doctors and nurses to better serve patients. “Currently, there are a lot of rapidly communicable, dangerous diseases. And, if doctors lack updated knowledge, skills and remedies, they will not be able to deal with diseases effectively, particularly new ones. Therefore, continuation study is essential for physicians. With the right approach and method, the hospital managed to control and handle diseases and hospitalisation cases. Good public healthcare also helps reduces hospitalisations in case of disease outbreak,” said Director Quynh.

Knowing the anxiety of patients and their relatives, the hospital streamlined administrative procedures to ease burdens for patients, create most favourable conditions for them to enjoy medical check and treatment. In addition, it also carries out social and collective healthcare policies in accordance with Decree 95/ND-CP of the Government and Decision 850 of the Dak Lak Province People’s Committee. It also effectively applies medical policies for ill-fated people.

The hospital also set up the board responsible for overseeing the code of conduct. It regularly trains its staff of the code of conduct and behavioural etiquette. Director Quynh said all people feel very worried when they know they carry a disease and stay at hospital for treatment. Hence, doctors and nurses have moderate, cultured behaviours and attitudes to patients to ease their sentimental and physical pains. To get the best result, the hospital carries out satisfaction surveys with patients to learn about what they do not feel satisfied about and how to regulate staff behaviours.

Implementing the Directive 06/2007/CT-BYT of the Ministry of Health on improving the medical examination and treatment quality for patients, the hospital has applied 12 ethical codes of physicians, not abused drugs, and imposed reasonable service fees. It also set up telephone hot lines, allowing patients and their relatives to send feedbacks to the hospital leaders.

With what it has done, Ea Sup General Hospital is thoughtfully serving patients with all the heart. For local people, it is a trusted address for ill people. This result comes from efforts of the leadership board and the entire staff. The hospital will further promote its values and competences to meet growing demand of local people.
