Highway Development Company Established

According to the Office of the Government, on September 6 the Prime Minister endorsed the establishment of the Vietnam Highway Investment and Development Company, under the Ministry of Communication and Transport. Its main function is the investment, development and maintenance of the national highway network. The company has a registered capital of VND1,000 billion including VND50 billion from the State budget and 10-year toll payments at Cau Gie and Phu Dong bridge (Hanoi). The Prime Minister also asked the ministries of transport and finance to reconsider the transfer of highways Phap Van - Cau Gie and Hanoi - Bac Ninh in order to increase the financial capability of the company.
