Int'l Textile Machines Exhibition to Open in India

The 7^th International Textile Machines Exhibition (INDIA ITME) will be held on 4-11 December, 2004 at Bombay exhibition centre, Goregaon (East) Mumbai, India. The exhibition is organised every four years and well attended by textile enterprises the world over.

INDIA ITME 2004 will be attended by 725 enterprises including 425 from India and 300 from other countries. Some 1.2 million business people world-wide will visit the exhibition. Executive Director Shri C.V. Radhakrishnan said: “INDIA ITME 2004 will promote synchronisation and investment, oriented production and a friendly environment, as well as reasonable equipment prices to deal with harsh world wide competition”.

The Vietnamese textile-garment industry has been highly developed and is a spearhead export sector. According to Cheri Advertising Company representing the Exhibition’s Organising Committee, INDIA ITME 2004 will be a good opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to investigate the latest technologies to increase their competitiveness on the world market.
