Oracle Honours Winners of Oil & Gas Industry Excellence Awards

Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco, the most important educational and networking event of the year for Oracle technologists, customers, and partners, was recently held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. This information technology event is dedicated to helping businesses optimize existing systems and understand upcoming technology breakthroughs.

 

The conference, which drew more than 50,000 attendees from over 140 countries, offered more than 2,100 educational sessions, 400 product demos, exhibitions from 450 partners and customers showcasing applications, middleware, database, server and storage systems, industries, management and infrastructure – all engineered for innovation.   

 

In this event, Oracle announced a series of innovations, solutions so as to optimize IT operation of businesses in which cloud computing, big data and engineered systems are very much focused. At the same time, Oracle also honored their partners and customers with the leading achievement.

 

Specifically, recognizing the innovative solutions and business achievements of its customers, Oracle announced the recipients of its 2012 Oil and Gas Industry Excellence Awards, presented at Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco.

 

The awards recognize the achievements of an oil and gas company from each of the industry’s six sectors namely Exploration and Production – Southwestern Energy (SWN); National Oil Company – Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO); Oilfield Services and Equipment Providers – National Oilwell Varco, Inc. (NOV); Drilling Company (Offshore) – Transocean; Midstream (Pipeline) – Enterprise Products Partners; Downstream – ADNOC Distribution.
