Recently, Asian Coast Development (Canada) Limited (ACDL) announced the commencement of construction of Tower 2 of the MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach at its Ho Tram Strip development 127 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City in the coastal province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

ACDL's wholly owned Vietnamese subsidiary – the Ho Tram Project Company commenced work on the piled foundations of the new property that will ultimately include 559 rooms and further leisure facilities, connected to the initial 541 room tower, which will open its doors in early 2013.

This had initially been planned for next year. However, with the rapid construction of the first tower and leisure amenities, further development was accelerated with a view to commencing construction on Tower 2 prior to opening the first phase of the MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach.

The Ho Tram Strip is the biggest tourism undertaking the nation has ever seen, and, with its five five-star hotels, of which two will include entertainment facilities, and its Greg Norman designed Championship Golf Course, the project is at the forefront of the next phase of the nation's travel growth.
