Southeast Region Tops FDI Attraction

The Foreign Investment Agency (FIA) said Vietnam licensed 881 FDI projects with a total registered capital of US$6.68 billion in the first 10 months of 2012, down 36.7 per cent year on year. The country also allowed 359 projects to supplement US$3.8 billion in the 10-month period, an increase of 12.3 per cent. In total, foreign investors registered to invest US$10.49 billion in the January - October period.

 

By region, the Southeast region attracted the most FDI with US$4.87 billion, accounting for 46.5 per cent of the total registered investment capital in the reporting period.
