Vietnam to Set up Fisheries Centre in Belgium

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Tran Tuan Anh, said the Vietnam Distribution Centre and Fisheries Bidding Exchange in Zeebrugge Port of Belgium will pave the way for boosting trade and opening up great opportunities for Vietnamese seafood exporters to build up their brand names in the EU. In particular, this project will also facilitate Vietnamese businesses to improve their competitiveness and offer consumers in Belgium and the EU stable supply sources with high quality and reasonable price.

 

Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), and relevant units is coordinating with the Belgian side to perform the project research.
