Business Delegation to Survey African Markets

Prime Minister Phan Van Khai will lead 58 Vietnamese enterprises on a working visit to the three African countries of South Africa, Morocco and Algeria to strengthen economic cooperation and trade promotions, and survey markets to boost exports.

Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Deputy Minister of Trade, Vice Executive President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and representatives of relevant bodies will accompany the prime minister.

Local enterprises involved in the delegation specialise in the fields of agricultural products, foodstuff, soft drinks, automobile and motorbike, oil and gas, transport and freight, construction, construction materials, civil electronics, tourism, services and general trade. Before the market survey's start, the local firms had a good chance to find out business opportunities in the foreign countries from the "Vietnam-Africa Trade & Investment Cooperation" seminar held by VCCI on October 28 in Hanoi.

As scheduled, VCCI will cooperate with the commerce chambers of the foreign countries to organise business forums and sign cooperation agreements.
