Vietnam Attracts US$17.33 Billion of FDI in Jan-Nov
Vietnam attracted US$17.33 billion of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first 11 months of 2014, said the Foreign Investment Agency (FIA) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment. Licensed FDI projects disbursed US$11.2 billion in the year to November 20, up 6.2 percent year on year. The country had 1,427 new projects valued at US$13.41 billion, down 2.7 percent from the same period of 2013.
Among 60 countries and territories investing in Vietnam in the reporting period, South Korea continued to be the biggest investor with US$6.82 billion, accounting for 39.4 percent of total FDI capital in Vietnam.
