The telecom and banking sectors entered Top 10 out of the list of 50 Vietnamese biggest brands, according to Brand Finance.

At its Viet Nam 50 2015 report, the London-based brand valuation and strategy consultancy company announced that Viet Nam’s largest dairy producer topped the first place by holding a brand value of US$1.13 billion.

Military-run Viettel comes at the second place, with a brand value of US$580 million, followed by giant property developer Vinhomes ($343 billion), leading mobile network operator MobiFone (US$306 billion), and state-run gas behemoth PetroVietnam Gas (US$288 billion).

The other brands included Tech firm FPT, Vietinbank, Vinaphone, Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam, and Vietcombank.

Brand Finance also evaluates the strength of the brands by a rating system. Among the top 50 brands in Viet Nam, Vinamilk also receives the highest rating, AAA-, followed by Vinhomes and FPT, both get an AA+.

This is the first time Brand Finance adds Viet Nam to its brand value report. The company’s brand evaluation reports are widely used by such major media agencies as BBC, CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg, The Economist, and The Wall Street Journal.
