PICENZA: A Successful Trademark

 

Hoang Tu Company is a member of Hanoi Young Business Association in building materials and interior decoration, especially in hot water tanks, Inox basins, bath tubs, wooden floors and tiles. With accelerated business activities, the Picenza trademark has become famous among Vietnamese customers. It will help Picenza in the world market.

 

The company has applied new technology and imported production lines from Germany and the Republic of Korea. The company has also designed new styles with imported materials from Spain, Thailand, Japan to make the products more suitable to the conditions and demand in Vietnam. In 2003, Picenza hot water tanks won the Golden Star Prize.

 

Also in 2003, as 100 per cent of wooden floors were imported at high prices,  Hoang Tu company imported its production line from Siem Pelkamp (Germany) and produced wooden floors with a comparative edge against imported products in both quality and price, meeting the demands of the domestic market. Alongside production, the company developed its trademark regarding it as vital to the existence and development of the product together with customer care and after sales service. The style and trademark of the products have been recognised by the Department of Industrial Property. In particular, Inox basins, bath tubs and wooden floors have won prizes at several trade fairs.

 

The company has also built a ceramic brick factory in Quang Minh IZ on an area of four hectares. To ensure ceramic bricks of high quality and fine colours, the company has imported a Nasseti production line with a capacity of 4 million sq. metres a year. So far, the company has marketed its products with a market share of 75 per cent. The trademark has been registered in China and in 18 other countries.

 

In view of long-term development, the company continues to upgrade the skills of the workforce and improve their living conditions. Social welfare, health care and sport activities have been duly regarded ensuring the well-being of the workers.

 

With those achievements, in 2004, the Prime Minister has awarded certificates of merit to the director and company. It is equally important that the customers have recognised Picenza trademark and believed that it will soon be available on the world market.
