The pilot, to be carried out in one year starting from December 1, will be deployed at North Hanoi Customs Office (Hanoi Customs Department), Haiphong Port Customs Office for Region 3 (Hai Phong Customs Department) and Mong Cai Customs Office (Quang Ninh Customs Department). GPS seals will be installed on cargo containers to be tracked to record the journey and transportation schedule transmit warning signals when the containers are unsealed or opened, as well as in locating the truck's position during its journey. The monitoring information will be displayed and stored on computers or mobile devices such as tablet computers and smart phones linked to the related authority's servers.
The monitoring data will be stored in the system for five years and will be the evidence to settle related cases.
