More than 457,500 Firms Register E-Tax Payment
As many as 457,504 companies, or over 90 percent of operational firms, registered to use electronic tax payment via the Information Portal of the General Department of Taxation as of the end of October 2015, said Mr Cao Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of the General Department of Taxation. Many provinces reported that over 90 percent of local businesses have registered to use electronic tax payment services, including Quang Tri, Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Nghe An, and Bac Ninh.
Nearly 99 percent (or 506,000 registered businesses) declared taxes via electronic means. Some localities reported very high rates of companies using electronic tax payment services like Danang City (100 percent), Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (99 percent.)
In the coming time, to implement Resolution 19 and Resolution 36a/2015/NQ-CP dated October 14, 2015 on e-government, the General Department of Taxation is applying information technology to taxation field. Accordingly, the General Department will accept electronic invoices and registration fee payment from property transfer deals. It will connect and exchange information between tax authorities and land authorities.
