UK Firm to Build US$16Mln Shoe Factory in Southern Vietnam
A UK-based firm has recently been granted an investment license to invest US$16 million in a shoe factory the southern province of Ba Ria Vung Tau, according to the provincial Industrial Park & Export Processing Zone Management Authority.
Accordingly, the investor will set up the Vung Tau Orient Co., Ltd. to build and operate the shoe factory in Vung Tau City's Dong Xuyen Industrial Park. The company has a lifespan of 41 years.
Ba Ria Vung Tau has this year licensed four investment projects, including two foreign direct investment (FDI) one worth US$17 million and two domestic ones capitalised at VND125 billion (US$7.96 million).
The province, one of the economic centers in southern Vietnam, now has 110 FDI projects with aggregate registered investment of US$2.14 billion.
