Forum to Gather Ideas for Unified Enterprise Law Held

The Compiling Board of the Unified Enterprise Law, Eurocham, and Germany’s Technical Cooperation Organisation (GTZ) recently hosted a seminar in Hanoi to gather ideas for the issuance of the Unified Enterprise Law planned in late 2005.

The new law will regulate the market economy’s common legal statuses applied for all kinds of enterprises in order to remove the discrimination among enterprises of all economic sectors, according to the board, adding that the issuance is a basic, necessary solution to meet requirements of the market economy, creating favourable conditions for Vietnam’s high, sustainable economic growth in the coming years.

However, many opposite opinions have arisen during the process of compiling the law. Some said that Vietnam has not been in need to have the new law so far.
