German Business Delegation to Visit Vietnam in Apr

A business delegation from Germany's Brandenburg State will arrive in Vietnam on April 4, 2005 for a two-day visit to sound out business cooperation opportunities.

The delegation, led by the Prime Minister of Land Brandenburg Matthias Platzeck, consists of representatives from 20 German enterprises.

During the visit, they will meet and discuss with Vietnamese counterparts through seminars to share experience and introduce modern technology in various fields, such as construction, architecture, water and environment, healthcare, aviation and education.

Vietnam earned USUS$1.07 billion from exports to Germany in 2004, up 24.67 per cent against the previous year.

Vietnam has this year attracted two investment projects from Germany with combined pledged investment of USUS$3.12 million, raising the number of German investment projects in the country to 60, capitalized at USUS$257 million.
